Our Philosophy: Nurturing every child's potential
Founded by Kate LaPorte, a North Carolina licensed elementary educator with over 20 years of classroom experience, LaPorte Learning Lab is designed to nurture confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in every child. Every child deserves focused, one-on-one attention to become their most successful self. We believe that with individualized support—rooted in patience, love, and respect—every learner can overcome challenges, build independence, and develop a lasting love of learning. By meeting each child where they are, celebrating progress, and tailoring instruction to their strengths and needs, we foster confidence, curiosity, and lifelong growth. A foundation built on expertise and dedication
Mrs. LaPorte earned her degree in child development and elementary education from East Carolina University. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham, an evidence-based approach that supports students with dyslexia, and Wilson Language, a multi-sensory framework designed to meet the needs of diverse learners. Her deep expertise ensures every child receives personalized and effective support.
